Residents in Levittown-area municipalities are welcoming spring and cleaning up their yards after winter.

Waste haulers for Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, and Middletown Township are ramping up collection.
Bristol Borough:
J.P. Mascaro and Sons will collect leaves, sticks, branches, and twigs no more than 4 feet in length and less than 4 inches in diameter. The collection will take place the first Thursday of each month and starts in April.

Bristol Township:
Bristol Township’s yard waste collection begins the week of April 1. Waste Management says residents can place yard waste out on regular collection days. They asked residents to use rigid containers or biodegradable paper bags for yard waste. Additionally, they asked residents not to put dirt or rocks in the yard waste.
Falls Township:
The township’s yard waste cleanup collection will be Saturday, April 13. Residents are asked to have the waste in the same location as regular trash pick-up by 6 a.m. The yard waste must be bagged in 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags or placed in 30-gallon trash containers without lids. Branches must be no larger than 4 feet in length, bundled, and not to exceed 50 pounds.

Middletown Township:
Yard waste is collected every Wednesday starting in April. Yard waste includes clippings, leaves, prunings, branches, house plants, fruits, vegetables, and other refuse that is generated by yard and garden maintenance. There is no limit to the amount of yard waste collected each Wednesday. Residents are to place their yard waste in either 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags or in a regular 20 to 35 gallon trash container with handles and a removable lid. Containers/bags shall weigh no more than 50 pounds when full. Residents may not use cardboard boxes, plastic bags or biodegradable plastic bags, as these will not be accepted at the composting facility. Tree branches no thicker than 6 inches in diameter are to be bundled into 4 foot sections and placed next to the yard waste at the curb.
