Officers were called around 5:14 a.m. near the intersection of West Maple Avenue and Alscot Lane following reports of a crash.

The preliminary investigation found a black Ford F-150 truck traveling eastbound on West Maple Avenue veered across the westbound lane and off the road, striking a telephone pole after traveling approximately 125 feet on the grass, police said.

The female passenger of the truck was found unconscious and bleeding from the head upon the arrival of emergency crews, police said. She was transported to a hospital for treatment.
