Bristol Woman Charged In Bus Crash

A crash involving a school bus and a vehicle in Central Bucks County earlier this year led to charges against a Bristol woman.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:11 a.m. on January 10 at Easton Road (Route 611) and Georges Lane in Warrington Township, police said.

The vehicle collided with a Central Bucks School District bus that was stopped to pick up a child with its red lights activated. The bus was struck from behind, police said.

The driver of the striking vehicle was identified as Carolyn Delp, 50, of Bristol, police said.

Delp was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the bus, police said.

Among the injured were one student from the bus, Delp herself, and her passenger, police said.

The three were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

An investigations showed that Delp was operating her vehicle with a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license at the time of the crash, according to police.

Delp was charged recently with accidents involving injury while not licensed, driving at an unsafe speed, meeting/overtaking a school bus, and driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked. She is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
