A home was damaged in a Saturday afternoon fire in Middletown Township’s Levittown section.

Crews were called to the unit block of Round Hill Road at 12:08 p.m. for a report of a blaze.
Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the back of the house and spreading to the second floor, William Penn Fire Company Deputy Chief Andy Conaway said.
Crews quickly got to work and were able to contain the fire by 12:45 p.m., Conaway said.

Residents were home but escaped injury, the deputy chief said.
Don Harris, Middletown Township’s acting fire marshal, said the cause remained under investigation as of Saturday night, but it appeared to be accidental.

In addition to the William Penn Fire Company, the Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 2, Penndel, and Newportville fire companies responded.
