See Snow Totals For Levittown Area

As the sun was rising, heavy rain was turning to heavy snow across the area.

The nor’easter that hit the area Monday night into Tuesday morning dropped several inches of snow and led to school closures.

By early Tuesday afternoon, the sun was out and the snow was starting to melt.

The National Weather Service reported the below snow totals in Bucks County:

  • Springtown – 10.5 inches
  • Hilltown Township – 7.9 inches
  • Solebury Township – 7.3 inches
  • Buckingham Township – 7 inches
  • Trumbauersville – 7 inches
  • Warminster – 5.5 inches
  • New Hope – 5 inches
  • Langhorne – 3 inches
  • Northampton Township – 3 inches.

Separate from the National Weather Service numbers, a LevittownNow.com reader in Bristol Township’s Croydon section reported 2.5 inches of snow and another reader in Middletown Township’s Levittown section measured 3.2 inches outside their door.

The snow that fell fast on Tuesday morning led to major and secondary streets being covered until plow crews could get a handle on the storm.

Road closures were reported Newtown Township and Solebury Township and vehicles were seen having trouble on the roadways.

Scattered power outages were reported in the area, but most problems were cleared by late afternoon.
