According to court papers, Justin Mohn, of Middletown Township’s Levittown section, was charged with murder of the first degree, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime with intent. He was preliminarily arraigned via video by District Judge Lisa Gaier just after 4 a.m. and bail was denied due to the murder charge.
According to law enforcement sources, police were dispatched to the Mohn home in the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive for a possible expiration Tuesday around 7 p.m. The caller, Mohn’s mother, reported that her husband’s body was found inside the bathroom and he had no head.
In court papers filed Wednesday morning, Middletown Township police and the Bucks County Detectives wrote that Michael F. Mohn’s body was located in a downstairs bathroom with a “large amount of blood around him.” He had been decapitated.

About an hour before the 9-1-1 call reporting the death, Mohn posted a YouTube video manifesto as a “call to arms for American patriots.”
In the 14-minute-long video, Mohn held up the head of his father, identified as Michael F. Mohn, who was in his late 60s, and said he was a federal employee of more than 20 years. This news organization was unable to confirm whether the elder Mohn was a federal employee.

“He is now in hell for eternity as a traitor to his country,” the younger Mohn stated, calling for a “second American Revolution.”
Mohn made inflammatory statements advocating for attacks on federal employees and properties. He expressed hostility towards illegal immigrants, President Joe Biden, senior federal officials, communists, “far-left woke mobs,” Black Lives Matter supporters, and members of the LGBTQ community.

In his rant, Mohn discussed Christian scriptures, called for debt cancellation, called for more adherence to Judeo-Christian values, spoke about human trafficking, and accused a major tech company of tax evasion. Additionally, he claimed that militias should protect him and mentioned previous FBI threats of arrest.

Mohn asserted that both the Democratic and Republican parties saw him as the ideal presidential candidate in 2020 and claimed that some people believe he is the Messiah.

Some of the talking points made by Mohn echoed those of prominent online conspiracy theorists and far-right political commentators.
In court filings reviewed by this news organization, Mohn, a 2014 graduate of Penn State for business management, sued the federal government four times for allowing him to borrow money for college. He complained in his court cases that he was an over educated white man who couldn’t pay back his loans.
According to footnotes in one of the cases, Mohn was reported in years past to have had “domestic issues” at an apartment he shared with roommates. The issues led to interactions with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Mohn sued Progressive Insurance, where he once worked in Colorado, after he failed to move ahead in the company. He claimed women were given priority. The case stated that Mohn was terminated from the job because he allegedly kicked open an office door.
Mohn had been self-publishing books since 2016 and had a Spotify account with several songs. His works include books like “Poems I Wrote While Stoned” and “The Second Messiah: King of Earth,” the latter being a fictional piece he wrote was inspired by his own life.

In 2017, Mohn mentioned writing a letter to then-President Donald Trump in one of his books.
His music on Spotify features songs such as “They Came For Justin Mohn,” “I Miss Lauren,” and “Judge Kathy Toilet.” His lyrics often reflect struggles, including financial debts, living with his parents, and his mom’s advice to pay down his debt. Mohn sang that his dad was jealous of him and wouldn’t let him succeed.
“This is a woman’s world. Empowering only girls,” he sang in one song. “Step on all the men. Kill the cock and praise the hen.”

Public records indicate Mohn moved to Colorado in 2015 but later returned to live with his parents in Middletown Township.
He is an alumnus of Sandburg Middle School and Neshaminy High School, graduating in 2010, former classmates said.
