A home was damaged in an early-morning fire on Saturday morning.

Just after 1 a.m., firefighters were called to the 800 block of Strawberry Lane for a report of a house that was ablaze.
Police arrived first and found smoke coming from the home, confirming the initial report, according to Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry.
Crews arrived and found a blaze inside the exterior wall and ceiling of the home.

Firefighters had to rip open the walls to access and extinguish the flames, Farry said.
The residents were home, but they were able to escape injury, the chief said.

Crews were at the scene for several hours.
The Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the cause of the blaze.
In addition to the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Newtown Fire-Rescue and the Parkland, Penndel, William Penn, and Yardley-Makefield fire companies were on the scene.
