Abandoned Boat Sinks, Causes Small Fuel Spill

The Bristol Borough waterfront was busy with activity Saturday morning after a small boat sank.

Bristol Borough firefighters, the Bucks County Special Operations Team, and U.S. Coast Guard were called to the Delaware River in the area of the docks at the wharf around 10 a.m.

A Coast Guard spokesperson said the response was due to the sinking of the small boat, which then led to a small fuel spill.

“It was a small amount of fuel,” the spokesperson told LevittownNow.com.

The boat that sank was found abandoned recently and had been tied off at the docks, the spokesperson said.
