A longtime staple of the local bar and restaurant scene, the Millcreek Inn, in Falls Township will be expanding.

During Monday’s Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting, the supervisors unanimously approved a 1,051-square-foot building addition for the eatery along Mill Creek Road near Old Bristol Pike.
The bar and restaurant was granted a waiver for adding street trees due to current layout of the site.
The supervisors also granted preliminary and final land development approval for the construction of a 2,173-square-foot repair shop and storage area. The facility will be situated on the same 16.29-acre site as the Millcreek Inn

In other business, the supervisors approved a proposal from F.X. Browne, Inc./Bogia Engineering, Inc. for completion of the township’s annual Act 101 recycling grant application for 2023.
Falls Township, according to officials, typically gets more than $50,000 each year from the grant.

The 2022 grant brought more than $108,141.54, Finance Director Betsy Reukauf said.
The grant award is based on total recycling tonnage for residential and commercial properties.
