A man was stabbed in an attack over the New Year’s weekend, and the woman he lived with was arrested and charged, according to court documents.

On Saturday, December 30 at 9:52 p.m., Bristol Township police were called to the unit block of Incurve Road in Levittown for a report of a stabbing.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and found out a man had been stabbed and made his way to his neighbor’s home for assistance.
At the scene, officers performed first aid until an ambulance arrived and rushed the man to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township for treatment of stab injuries to his chest and left shoulder, police said.

In the affidavit of probable cause, police noted the bloodied man’s clothing had to be cut off at the scene as he was treated, police said.
Court papers did not state the extent of the man’s wounds, but he survived the stabbing.

Suzanne Garber, 52, of the Levittown section of Bristol Township, was named the suspect in the stabbing, police said.
Investigators obtained security footage from a home on the street and it revealed more details on what happened, police said.
Detectives said that Garber pulled her car half in the driveway and left it half in the street at 9:39 p.m. At 9:46 p.m., the injured man walked away from the house where Garber was and toward his neighbor’s residence while covered in blood.

A trail of blood was found in the area and a bloody knife was located in the rear of a truck at the home where Garber and the injured man lived, police said.
A detective from the district attorney’s office interviewed the man who was stabbed and learned that the wounded man believed Garber stabbed him while he was sleeping on the sofa. The two had previously been at a bar, police said.

The injured man said he was shocked when the attack happened and he managed to wrestle the knife away from Garber before he escaped to get help, police said.

Garber had called 9-1-1 to claim the man threatened to shoot her in the head as officers arrived for the stabbing call, police said.

Garber was treated at Lower Bucks Hospital for a small laceration to the wrist, according to police.
On Sunday, Garber appeared before on-call District Judge Gary Gambardella to be preliminarily arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $1 million bail.
