The crash happened on around 9:27 a.m. along Tyburn Road near New Ford Mill Road in Falls Township, causing significant traffic disruptions and a large clean up, authorities said.
The overturning of the large truck resulted in debris scattered across both roadways, an oil leak from the damaged vehicle, and a fire hydrant being dislodged from its base, police said.

Police Lt. Chris Clark said officers, in their preliminary investigation, attributed the cause of the accident to the driver operating the vehicle at an unsafe speed for the given road conditions. The misjudgment led to the vehicle’s overturning during an attempted turn.

It was discovered that the driver was not in possession of a proper license and the tractor-trailer itself lacked the necessary registration and inspection credentials, police said.
Officers plan to conduct a comprehensive vehicle inspection of the tractor-trailer to take place later this week.
