81-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hurt In Crash

A motorcycle rider was injured Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Falls Township.

Officers were dispatched at about 5:10 p.m. to the area of Trenton Road and Pennsylvania Avenue for a reported two-vehicle crash, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined an 81-year-old Levittown man was traveling on Trenton Road on a motorcycle when a 51-year-old Ivyland man driving a Dodge Charger turned left from Pennsylvania Avenue onto Trenton Road, police said.

The vehicles then collided.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, sustained a head injury, police said.

The driver of the Dodge was not injured, according to police.

The motorcyclist was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for evaluation and treatment.

Police said alcohol, drugs or a medical emergency are not believed to have contributed to the crash.
