PennDOT is advancing its overhaul of the Oxford Valley Road intersection and seeks public input.

A virtual public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19 to discuss the reconstruction of North Oxford Valley Road and Lincoln Highway, as well as North Oxford Valley Road and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road intersections in Falls and Middletown townships.
The 7 p.m. meeting will feature a project presentation by PennDOT’s design team, followed by a Q&A session. The meeting link is available on Microsoft Live Teams.

PennDOT Engineer Timothy Stevenson told LevittownNow.com last year that that if approved, construction could start in 2024 and conclude by 2026.
The project, estimated to cost up to $12 million, involves relocating the Oxford Valley Road intersection to form a new signalized intersection near the Oxford Point Shopping Center. The re-alignment will include a rain basin and two driveways connecting to the existing Wawa and Philly’s Craft Beer location.
Road widening at Oxford Valley Road and Lincoln Highway intersections will accommodate dual left-turn lanes and a northbound right-turn lane. Pedestrian improvements are also planned.

Stevenson highlighted the project’s goal of enhancing safety and traffic flow, particularly near the busy Lincoln Highway and Oxford Valley Road intersection.
The state owns some land near the intersection, previously home to Fuddruckers and Arby’s, but negotiations with nearby property owners are necessary for the realignment.

Residents have called on officials to rework the intersection for years.
