Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying two women suspected of stealing a purse from a diner at Miller’s Ale House in what appears to be a scheme.

According to the Middletown Township Police Department, the incident occurred when the victim was dining at the popular eater and had her purse rifled through by the suspects.
The duo allegedly managed to extract both a debit and credit card from the purse, which was hanging on the back of the victim’s chair, police said.
The entire episode at the restaurant lasted approximately three minutes, with one suspect reportedly using her coat to conceal the act as her accomplice pilfered through the purse, according to investigations.

The suspects then used the stolen cards at a nearby BJ’s Wholesale Club, where they are said to have purchased around $1,800 worth of gift cards and other items, police said.
