The historic riverfront town will once again hosting its much-anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting and the annual Christmas Parade.

The weekend’s festivities kick off on Friday with the Christmas Tree Lighting.

The event will be held at the junction of Mill Street and Radcliffe Street. The evening begins at 5:15 p.m. with a line-up of entertainment and an ice sculpting display.

Santa will make a grand entrance at 6:50 p.m., bringing the magic of the North Pole to Bristol Borough.

The climax of the evening will be the tree lighting at 7 p.m.

Saturday will see the streets of Bristol Borough come alive with the annual Christmas Parade.

The parade, which begins at 1 p.m., will start its journey from the corner of Green Lane and Farragut Avenue.

Spectators can expect a procession featuring local first responders, musicians, and a fleet of classic cars. Adding a touch of whimsy to the event, costumed characters will march alongside, delighting the crowd.

The parade will progress down Farragut Avenue, turn onto Pond Street, and conclude near the historic King George II Inn on Mill Street.

The grand finale of the parade promises to be a special treat, with Santa and Mrs. Klaus making their way down the route, greeting children.

The organizers have prepared for a rain contingency. Should the parade be canceled due to rain on Saturday, it will be rescheduled for Sunday.
