Troopers said they held the checkpoint from 10 p.m. on Friday, October 27 until 4 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 at the intersection of Pine Street (Route 413) and East Maple Avenue in Langhorne Borough.
The checkpoint led to troopers coming into contact with 55 different drivers and two arrests for DUI and drug possession, state police said.
“The goal of a sobriety checkpoint is to reduce the number of alcohol- and drug-related fatal and serious crashes, and to reduce the number of DUI drivers on Pennsylvania’s highways,” Sgt. Steven Stigliano said in a statement.

Troopers hold stationary DUI enforcement checkpoints from time to time in Lower Bucks County.
In a statement, state police said DUI checkpoints are intended to maintain a “safe environment for the motoring public.”
