Officials in Bristol Township announced plans to designate seven additional vacant properties as blighted.

Last month, Bristol Township Council voted to approve the process for designating the homes as blighted.
The program is part of an ongoing collaboration with the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County to address issues of delinquent taxes, abandonment, and property deterioration.

The home at 6 Meadow Lane in the Levittown section will be blighted. The dwelling has been vacant for months, and it has been deemed uninhabitable. The township has been unable to reach the owners.
The property 9 Vulcan Lane in the Levittown section has been empty for a year. There are unpaid taxes and the township has been maintaining the yard.

The home at 136 Belmont Avenue in the Croydon section has been vacant for more than a year. The owner passed away, and the family has been told the home has to be maintained, but it has not been. The owners planned to remove abandoned vehicles and boats, but no action has been taken.

The home at 307 Western Avenue has been vacant for years, and the township has had to keep up the property.
The home at 1031 First Avenue in the Croydon section has been vacant for five years, but squatters were living in the home. The home has since been boarded up.

The residence at 1437 Colonial Avenue has been empty for many years. The home is unable to be lived in and people have been living in a motorhome on the property. The township found people inside the home and they had to be removed.
The dwelling at 2740 Avenue B in the Newportville section has been vacant for more than two years. The township has had to cut the lawn, and there has been no luck in efforts to reach the owner.

Elton said the township has gone from 204 vacant properties in 2015 to 61 vacant properties as of October.
