Police ID Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle

The man struck and killed by a car along North Pine Street (Route 413) earlier this week was identified on Wednesday.

Zafer Gursoy, 65, of Langhorne Borough, died from injuries sustained Monday around at 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Pine Street, between Maple Avenue and the Pine Watson Shopping Center, when he was struck by a vehicle, according to Langhorne Borough police.

He was a well-liked employee at Moish and Itzy’s Restaurant and Delicatessen in Middletown Township.

Gursoy was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver, who traveling northbound on North Pine Street at the time of the accident, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The crash is under investigation by Langhorne Borough police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team.

The scene was cordoned off for several hours Monday night.
