SAFStor Old Lincoln LLC recently submitted plans to turn the existing and still operational Michael’s Restaurant and Lounge at 935 Old Lincoln Highway in Falls Township into a three-story, 109,650-square-foot mini-warehouse and self-storage building.
The Falls Township Zoning Hearing Board in late spring approved a variance for the site that would allow a self-storage facility on the 2.97-acre site that sits near Route 1.
The plans call for two entrances off Old Lincoln Highway and a driveway that would go to the rear of the proposed building. There would be parking in the front and back, and a small rain garden would be added to the rear of the property.

The plans have not yet been approved, and still need to go through the land development process.

The current restaurant building was constructed in the 1950s and served as the Cypress Inn before becoming Michael’s Restaurant and Lounge. The restaurant is known for table side cooking and boasts a signature Caesar salad.

A marketing document from SVN Ahia Commercial Real Estate previously listed the property at $2.95 million.
The sales document said the site is an “exceptional land development opportunity.”
The property doesn’t just have the 12,300-square-foot restaurant building on site. There is also a 1,932-square-foot home that fronts Old Lincoln Highway.
