A vehicle belonging to a good Samaritan who was assisting the victim of a crash on I-295 was hit by another vehicle Wednesday evening.

A single-vehicle crash occurred around 8 p.m. and a car ended up tangled in the median guidewires in the eastbound lanes, according to Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry.
Shortly after, the good Samaritan stopped to aid the motorist, who did not sustain injuries, Farry said.
As the good Samaritan was helping the crash victim, another vehicle slammed into the good Samaritan’s vehicle along I-295, pushing it across the highway and into the woods, Farry said.

Pennsylvania State Police and firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown and Penndel fire companies were dispatched to the scene.
None of the three drivers involved were hurt, and all refused medical attention, the chief said.

Traffic was slowed in the area until just past 9:30 p.m.
Troopers were investigating the crash as of Thursday.
