
The Pennsylvania State Police conducted a “proactive, high visibility enforcement initiative” on I-95 in a bid to curb the rate of severe motor vehicle crashes across both Bucks County and Philadelphia on Monday.

State police reported a total of 82 traffic citations issued throughout the enforcement detail. Additionally, 55 warnings were handed out to drivers on the interstate.
The operation also led to a handful of arrests. Three individuals were taken into custody for driving under the influence, highlighting a persistent concern for roadway safety. Another individual was arrested on a separate warrant, according to troopers.
Several patrol units participated in this effort, including Troop M Trevose, Troop K Philadelphia, and Troop T King of Prussia. In addition to these units, support was provided by the Troop M Criminal Interdiction Team, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Auto Theft Unit Task Force, and the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program.
