Police Seek Public’s Help In Identifying ATM Skimmer Suspects

The Middletown Township Police Department is on the hunt for two individuals believed to be responsible for a recent skimming incident at a local bank.

The incident happened on July 14 around 1 a.m. at the Penn Community Bank located on Highland Park Way.

According to a police statement released Tuesday, a man, whose image was captured on surveillance cameras, and a man appearing to act as a lookout, attempted to execute a skimming scheme at the bank’s ATM.

Law enforcement officials stated that during the skimming process, the suspect damaged the ATM.

The police recovered the skimming device from the ATM.

Authorities said they are optimistic that the swift response may have headed off any potential impact on the bank’s customers.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals pictured or have any knowledge about the skimming incident has been asked to contact police at 215-949-1000.

Bristol Township police investigated a skimming incident last week. There’s no word if the incidents are believed to be connected.
