The blaze led to damage to the building, which remained closed as of Wednesday, county officials said in a statement.
At 3:41 p.m. Tuesday, employees inside the clubhouse alerted 9-1-1 after detecting the smell of smoke and observing it outside the structure that sits in Falls Township, county officials said.
Fire crews responded to the call, with the first units arriving at the scene six minutes after the initial report.

Investigators from the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office have determined that the fire likely resulted from an electrical malfunction, according to officials.
The county fire marshal’s preliminary assessment suggests that the blaze originated in the vicinity where telephone and cable service wires enter the building, the statement said.

The clubhouse had damaged primarily to its roof and exterior, with smoke spreading throughout the structure.

Bucks County General Services Department will evaluate the damage and look at what repairs are needed.
“While the course itself was not impacted by the fire, it will remain closed at least until a temporary office is in place,” county officials said.

The 46-acre golf course is on county park property, but it is managed by Spirit Golf Management, which runs other public golf courses in the area. The golf course has had renovations in recent years as new management has taken over.
