A total of 10 people were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries after a school bus and SUV collided.

The crash happened at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road at Terrace Road on the border of Falls and Middletown townships.
Police were investigating, but they said the two vehicles were traveling opposite directions on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road when they collided.
Scott Henley, the chief of the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, said the 10 patients were made up of students, the driver of the bus, and the driver of the Honda SUV.

There were about 20 students on the bus when the crash occurred, Henley said.
The Pennsbury School District bus was transporting students from Bucks County Technical High School and Conwell-Egan Catholic High School when the wreck happened, according to Pennsbury spokesperson Jennifer Neill.

After the crash, Pennsbury Transportation Director Rebecca Kurtz, Supervisor of Bus Maintenance Derek Cesari, and district security officers were on the scene.

Bristol-Oxford Valley Road was closed in the area of the wreck for close to an hour as crews removed the vehicles and cleaned up debris.
Due to the number of patients, ambulances from the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, and Bucks County Rescue Squad responded to the scene. The Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad was also at the scene.

The Penndel Fire Company and the Middletown Department of Fire and Emergency Managements were on the scene.
