Multi-Vehicle Crash Occurs On Route 1

A multi-vehicle crash brought emergency crews to Route 1 in Middletown Township and also led to major traffic delays.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. on Route 1 southbound just past the new bridge over the rail line near the Neshaminy Creek.

Early reports indicated a dump truck, tractor-trailer, and SUV were involved.

Traffic crawled through the crash area as of 10:15 a.m., and the southbound lanes were backed up to Pine Street (Route 413).

A reader reported seeing police from Bensalem Township and Middletown Township at the scene.
