More than a decade has passed since South Oxford Valley Road was repaved. Despite sealing cracks and patching potholes, the road has deteriorated in recent years.
PennDOT has advised local drivers to give extra time when traveling through work zones.

The local work is part of PennDOT’s regional plan to fix and repave more than 200 miles of Philadelphia-area state roadways and highways.
“Under these resurfacing projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface,” PennDOT said in a statement.
PennDOT is currently repaving Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township as part of the regional project.
