
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a military vehicle was reported to have caused damage along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Bucks County.

Troopers said a military vehicle struck the metal frame on an empty tollbooth along the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Bensalem Township interchange, causing damage on Saturday evening.
Troopers said the military vehicle continued driving north without stopping after the crash.
At first, the report was that a large commercial vehicle damaged the tollbooth, but state police said they determined it was a military vehicle belonging to the U.S. Army. A specific vehicle type of was not listed.

The vehicle “failed to drive with care to ensure safely clearing the width of the lane,” troopers said.
The driver was not located as of early this week, according to a state police press release.
