An employee at one of the three Giant Food Stores in Middletown Township told LevittownNow.com the run on bottled water began around noon and the store’s supply of small and large bottles was gone a short time later.
At the Giant Food Store in Falls Township’s Fairless Hills section, water bottles were sold out by mid-afternoon and a new pallet was put out. The new pallet was quickly bought up by customers.
Sam’s Club in Falls Township was reported to have their water bottle supply bought up.

The Redner’s Warehouse Market in Middletown Township reported being clean out of water bottles by mid-afternoon.
A LevittownNow.com reader reported talking to a woman who traveled from Philadelphia and visited several stores in Bucks County and all were out of water.

People rushed to stores to get water after Philadelphia officials advised residents to use bottled water in the wake of a Friday night chemical spill that happened in Bristol Township. The chemicals spilled into the Otter Creek and then into the Delaware River.
Philadelphia authorities later stated the bottled water advisory was lifted and no drinking water contamination was found.
No Bucks County water authorities issued bottled water advisories. Officials have said the water is safe to drink.
