On February 4 at 6:09 p.m., troopers were called for a report of a vehicle in a ditch with an unresponsive person in the driver’s seat, Pennsylvania State Police confirmed this week. It was not clear why troopers waited weeks to release information on the incident.
Troopers who arrived at the scene along I-295 westbound in Middletown Township found the driver unresponsive in a 2022 Subaru Forester and they started CPR. When an ambulance showed up, that crew took over the attempt to revive the driver, state police said.
The driver was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Falls Township, but they were pronounced dead at the medical center, state police said.

Troopers initially suspected the driver suffered a “possible medical event” because the vehicle had a lack of damage and the driver had no obvious injuries and no immediate signs of drug or alcohol use, according to a press release.
The Bucks County Coroner’s Office this week didn’t release the name of the deceased or whether a cause of death has been determined.
