An alert resident called Bristol Borough cops around 6 a.m. Monday. The resident reported three “suspicious people,” police said.
Officers quickly responded and found the three suspects, who were stealing scrap metal from a property.
The three suspects were not from Bristol Borough and all had active warrants out for their arrest, police said.

Police Chief Joe Moors at Monday’s council meeting commended the alert resident for the tip that led to the arrests.
The chief said it appeared the three suspects had scoped out the address before the theft.

The suspects’ names weren’t available because charges for the Monday incident have yet to be filed.
Since Moors became chief last year, he has made it a priority to tackle quality of life crimes, like theft, in the borough.
“To the people out there, keep calling in,” he said.
