Last Wednesday around 10:40 p.m., a domestic incident was reported via 9-1-1 at a home in the 9000 block of Wheatsheaf Road. A man was reported to be threatening someone in the house with a knife and breaking a window, court papers stated.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Elijah Webber, 18, of Trenton, outside the home, yelling and screaming at his mother, police said.

Despite attempts to deescalate the situation, Webber continued to be aggressive and agitated. He refused to speak with police and repeatedly shouted expletives and called on the officer to shoot him, police said.

As the situation escalated, additional officers were called to the scene to assist.

The first backup unit to arrive on the scene was from the Tullytown Borough Police Department. The borough officer and the initial responding Falls Township officer were able to take Webber into custody and handcuff him, police said.

Webber was bleeding from his right hand due to a “bad laceration,” police said.

While awaiting the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to check on Webber, the young man was placed in the back of a patrol vehicle, police said.

As officers awaited an ambulance, Webber continued to be aggressive and started to kick the door of the patrol vehicle. An officer had to hold him down to stop him from causing damage to the car. Webber, who smelled of alcohol, was still yelling and screaming obscenities, and stating that he wanted the officer to shoot him, police said.

The rescue squad eventually arrived and transported Elijah to Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township for evaluation, police said.

According to statements from Webber’s family, the incident at the home began over a disagreement about ice cream. Webber became angry and grabbed a 10-inch kitchen knife, threatening to kill one of the residents, police said.

Webber, who was not supposed to be at the Falls Township home, ended up plunging the knife into a door, police said.

One of the residents said Webber told them a family member pulled a gun and cocked it because they felt threated by the 18-year-old man’s outburst. Webber had been heard threatening the family member, police said.

In addition to the threats, Webber was accused of punching out a window.

After being released from the hospital, Webber was preliminarily arraigned Thursday by District Judge Jan Vislosky on charges of attempted aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, and two summary offenses. He was held on 10 percent of $150,000 bail.
