The borough will kick off the season Friday evening with the borough tree lighting and then the big parade on Saturday.
“It will be a little bit different than tree lightings in the past,” East Ward Councilman Greg Pezza said.
The festivities will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the base of Mill Street.

Pezza said singer Ginger Coyle and musician Don McClusky, whose music has appeared internationally on radio and in TV and streaming projects, will be performing at the event.
The evening tree lighting will also feature food vendors and crafts at a small Christmas village, Pezza explained.
