Police Seek Information After Catalytic Converter Stolen From Diner

Bristol Borough police are seeking information from the public after a catalytic converter theft at a popular local diner.

On Friday, police issued a press release with a call for tips relating to the catalytic converter theft that happened in the rear parking lot of the Golden Eagle Diner at the corner Route 13 and Bath Street at 2:09 a.m. on Monday, October 3.

Police said the person of interest in the theft stole the catalytic converter from a Honda CRV that was parked in the rear lot of the diner. The man checked out the SUV, entered to the diner, and then ate a meal.

Upon exiting the diner, the man went over to the Honda and stole the catalytic converter from the SUV, police said.

The man left the area around 2:37 a.m. with the catalytic converter, police said.

In addition to information on the man, investigators are seeking details on a vehicle of interest, a newer-model blue or blue jeans-colored Ford F-150 extended cab with chrome bumpers and possibly a trailer hitch. The truck had decals that said “F-4X4” on the rear sides of the bed, chrome wheel rims with a chrome running board, Ford emblem on the tailgate, and an unknown plate.
