Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries In Route 13 Crash

A pedestrian was injured in a crash early Saturday on Route 13.

The pedestrian was in the right lane of southbound Route 13 in the area of the 6200 block when they were struck around 12:50 a.m., police said.

The 35-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, police said.

The 2011 Jeep that struck the 24-year-old male driver and a passenger stayed at the scene. Neither were injured, police said.

Route 13 was blocked for some time as police investigated the crash.

Bristol Township Fire Police assisted in redirecting motorists.

Route 13 has seen numerous fatal and non-fatal pedestrian crashes in recent years, including in the area of Saturday’s crash.
