Community Invited To Help Paint New Mural At Falls Twp. Community Park

A new mural is coming to Falls Township Community Park.

Falls Township police said they were picked by the Langhorne Borough-based The Peace Center to create a L.O.V.E. Is The Answer Mural at their community’s most popular park.

This past weekend, volunteers from Pennsbury High School, the Falls Township Police Department, and three area artists gathered to work on the mural.

This Saturday, police are inviting the public to Falls Township Community Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to join with police, students, and the artists to paint the mural and see the grand unveiling.

“L.O.V.E. Is The Answer is a growing nationwide movement created by internationally known A.J. Ali. A.J. is an actor, TV host, director, producer and writer. His latest award-winning film, ‘Walking While Black: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer,’ and his new book, ‘L.O.V.E. Is The Answer,’ are helping to improve relations between police and people of color nationwide, and are used in workshops and other training programs that he developed,” police said in a statement.

“We are very grateful to have been selected by The Peace Center for the honor of joining this movement,” the statement said.

Those interested in attending are asked to enter the park through the Wheatsheaf Road entrance. There will be plenty of park security officers available to assist with directions.

The first mural was completed last year in Morrisville Borough.
