A Bristol Township high schooler’s mural idea became a reality Friday in Morrisville Borough.
Harry S. Truman High School senior Carolina Gonzalez-Espino was joined by friends, local elected officials, and police officers on “L.O.V.E. is the Answer Day,” which encourages people to learn, open, volunteer, and empower their communities. The event is based around the idea that following those steps can make a positive change in the community.

Gonzalez-Espino’s artwork depicts the pledge the program and its four tenets. Her artistic goal was to interpret the pledge.
“There are no rules, rights or wrongs, or qualifications for what makes something ‘art,’” said Gonzalez-Espino. “At the end of the day, there is a message behind every piece to reach the right audience that needs to hear it the most.”
The mural was painted on the wall of the Route 1 underpass at Moreau Street and South Delmorr Avenue in Morrisville Borough.

District Attorney Matt Weintraub and the Bucks County Commissioners have supported the L.O.V.E. is the Answer program and brought it to staff and community members.
