Constitution Day Forum To Tackle State Vs. Federal Authority With For Reproductive Rights & Voting

Bucks County Community College will again host a Constitution Day forum tackling some of the most discussed issues of our time.

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences will host a forum covering “State Vs. Federal Authority With Regard To Reproductive Rights & Voting Procedures” on Thursday, September 15 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The forum will be held at Bucks County Community College’s Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol Township. It will be streamed live via Zoom and broadcast at the Zlock Performing Arts Center at the Newtown Township campus.

Professor Bill Pezza will moderate the forum. The panel will be made up of John Petito, a Bucks County Community College associate professor; David Steil, a former eight-term state representative; Melissa Reed, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Keystone; Patrick Christmas, the policy director of the Committee of Seventy; and Marlene Downing, of the Susan B Anthony List and Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition.

The community college regularly hosts Constitution Day events to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.
