William Henry Brown III, 38, of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, was preliminary arraigned on charges dissemination of photos/film of child sex acts, child pornography, and criminal use of a communication facility. He was released on $200,000 unsecured bail.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office received a tip in mid-June from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that messaging service Kik reported a user uploaded numerous files of child porn through their app, authorities said.
Bucks County Detectives received information on the files and uncovered various videos of children involved in sex acts, authorities said.

In late June, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agency, the main investigative branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, served a summon upon Verizon for subscriber information linked to the files uploaded to Kik, court papers stated.
Last month, Verizon returned information that linked the account to Brown and his Bristol Township address, authorities said.

On Tuesday, July 13, Bucks County investigators seized Brown’s cell phones and his HP desktop computer, detectives said.
Brown reportedly told investigators his Kik account has been closed because he clicked on a link that contained child porn.
Bucks County Detectives said they located files of child porn on his cell phone and desktop computer.
