As LevittownNow.com reported over the weekend, the closure that was set to take place this week was pushed and concerns were raised about traffic due to the reconstruction of the nearby Hulmeville Avenue bridge.
Penndel Borough Mayor Tom Sodano said CSX officials told municipal officials at a Monday meeting that the closure will be delayed for now.
In an email to participants of the meeting, an engineer for the work said CSX will work with PennDOT to reschedule the closure for a better time.

CSX is looking to close Bellevue Avenue so they can replace the crossing at the train station that sits in Middletown Township on the borders of Penndel and Langhorne Manor boroughs.
After a planned closure was announced, some residents raised alarm over the impact the closure would have on area roadways, especially with the Hulmeville Avenue bridge being closed.

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Republican from Middletown Township, said in a message posted on social me that he issued a letter to CSX and the Federal Railroad Administration to raise concern over the closure while the bridge is out. He said the closure would delay emergency responders.
“By waiting until the construction on the bridge is complete, this alternate route would cause a minimal impact on response times and would further create an alternate route that is best for our residents,” he said on social media.
SEPTA’s West Trenton Line also uses the tracks that cross Bellevue Avenue.
