The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. when a minivan slammed through a wooden fence and hit the building at the corner of Trenton and Durham roads.
Police said the minivan, which had three people inside, was traveling eastbound on Trenton Road as it came up on the intersection with Durham Road. The minivan, which was reported to have a green light, swerved to avoid another vehicle that ran the red light and went off the roadway.
“The driver of the minivan swerved to avoid the other car, causing him to leave the roadway and strike the building,” police said.
