
A former Levittown woman is dealing with life-altering injuries after being set ablaze during an argument in the city, according to Philadelphia police and media reports.
Alyssa Morales, 36, remains hosptaizlied after a liquid was reportedly thrown on her and she was set ablaze at Harrowgate Park on East Tioga Street in Philadelphia early last Friday morning.

Fox 29 reported there was an argument before the attack.
Residents rushed to Morales’ aid, while police, firefighters, and medics arrived to the park.
A video that has been widely shared on social media showing Morales on the ground hunched over in pain. It also shows her clothes off her body and burning on the ground.

A Philadelphia police official told reporters this week responders arrived to find what they thought was a trash fire. Firefighters quickly realized it was a person.

A GoFundMe page for Morales said she is in a medically-induced coma as she is treated for burns on half her body.

Family members and friends of Morales said she has battled heroin addiction and lived on the streets on Kensington for more than a decade.
YouTube channel AML Films has featured Morales, who goes by “Bre,” in videos that have chronicled addiction in the city.
โI am angry. So angry,โ Morales’ mother Lee Ann Morales said. โSo angry that anyone would do something so horrific to another human being. Angry and worried that no one will work hard to find the people who did this to her because of how she lived.โ

6abc reported Morales’ mother said her daughter will be in the hospital for the next three months.
“She’ll never have the face she was born with. Never,” she said.

The GoFundMe for Morales has raised more than $20,000.
“No matter what people may think of those who battle addiction, no human being should ever have to endure what Alyssa has endured. No one should have to deal with the struggles that lie ahead for her. It’s going to be a long, hard road to recovery. and Alyssa will never be the same again. Any amount you can donate towards Lee Ann’s expenses and Alyssa’s care is appreciated,” the fundraiser page said.

Morales’ mother takes care of the injured woman’s 7-year-old daughter and the victim’s brother who has challenges, according to Metro Philadelphia.
While Morales continued to live in the city, her family moved from Levittown to Florida several years back.
