A serious crash happened Wednesday morning in Falls Township.
Police issued the following statement on the crash:

This morning, at approximately 7:55 AM, Falls Township Police responded to the intersection of New Ford Mill Road and Bordentown Road to investigate a three-vehicle accident.
The preliminary investigation determined that a dump truck was traveling along New Ford Mill Road toward the intersection with Bordentown Road when the driver of the dump truck proceeded through the stop sign without stopping, consequently striking a tractor-trailer.
The collision caused the trailer to slide into the oncoming lane of travel after which the trailer struck a residential trash collection truck, operated by a 46-year-old female, from Philadelphia. Despite experiencing critical injuries, she is in stable condition at Capital Health, Trenton, New Jersey.

The drivers of the other two vehicles are uninjured and remained on scene as they are cooperating with the investigation.
Alcohol, drugs or a medical emergency (while driving) are not believed to have contributed to causation.
