
An inmate died at the Bucks County Correctional Facility Tuesday.

In a statement, Bucks County officials said the inmate – a man in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the Doylestown Township facility. The call was made by medical staff at the correctional facility.
County officials didn’t release more information on the inmate or facts surrounding the case.
The Bucks County Department of Corrections Investigations Unit and Bucks County Detectives were probing the death as of Wednesday, officials said.

In March, inmate Edwin Dunfee, 46, of Philadelphia, died at the facility by suicide.
Over the past seven years, Bucks County has reported five inmate suicides, one homicide, and several medical-related deaths at the correctional facility, according to Pennsylvania Department of Correction’s extraordinary occurrence statistics and this news organization’s tally.
