Gov. Tom Wolf announced Monday evening that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

“My symptoms are mild. I’m grateful that I recently got my second vaccine booster,” the governor said.
Wolf said in a tweet that he will be isolating at home in accordance with federal health guidance.
First Lady Frances Wolf has not tested positive.

The governor’s diagnosis is his second during the pandemic.
Wolf, a resident of York County, first had COVID-19 in December 2020.

In March 2020, Wolf’s office announced he had COVID-19, but then backtracked, citing the information was an error.
As Wolf stated, he is vaccinated for COVID-19.
While the COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to reduce the transmission of the novel coronavirus, which has numerous variants, the main impact has been reducing deaths and severe illness, according to the World Health Organization.
