On Monday evening, the Falls Township Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 to approve preliminary and final land development approval for Hiossen Inc. to expand their manufacturing building at 85 Ben Fairless Drive in the Keystone Trade Center. Supervisor Jeff Boraski was absent from the meeting due to a family event and did not vote.
Representatives for the company said Hiossen will be constructing a 36,468-square-foot building addition to its existing 27,000-square-foot industrial facility. The addition will create 32,672 square feet of new industrial space on the first level and 5,796 square feet of office space on a second floor.
The plan calls for revamping parking at the site, removing much of the pavement that dates back to when the site was part of the steel mill, creating new green space, and a walking trail.

Hiossen has offices across the U.S. and operates in Canada, Europe, and Mexico.
While not part of the Hiossen project, the Keystone Trade Center project to create millions of square feet of warehouse space is underway. The project will bring upgrades to the entire property.

In other business, the supervisors voted 4-0 to allow Grand Affairs Party Rentals to construct a 3,190-square-foot addition to store tables, chairs, and other party rental supplies at 651 West Trenton Avenue in the Morrisville section of the township.
A representative for Grand Affairs Party Rentals told the supervisors the facility would not be open to the public and only serve as storage.
