Tyler Thomas Perkins, 20, of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, was preliminarily arraigned late last Friday afternoon on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, reckless endangerment, and simple assault.
Starting in January 2022, Bristol Township police began investigating Perkins in connection with incidents in the township, according to court papers.
In a filing, police said Perkins harassed a mother and son with threatening texts and phone calls in August 2021. Perkins allegedly followed the family into public places, which caused them to fear for their safety.

Police said there are multiple recordings and screenshots of Perkins’ conduct.
On October 26, 2021, Perkins engaged in a fight with the woman’s son and injured him, police said.

A police report was filed, authorities said.
While filing the police report, Perkins reportedly drove by the family’s Croydon home on a street off of Franklin Avenue.
Later in the evening, Perkins returned to the Croydon home and fired at least two rounds from a handgun toward the family he was upset at, police said.

A resident told police she was afraid of dying as the shots were fired.
The family reported to investigators that they are afraid of Perkins and the son was “extremely afraid” to testify against him, authorities said.

Perkins is unable to own a firearm due to his age and has no permit to carry a gun, police said.
At his preliminarily arraignment before District Judge Frank Peranteau last Friday afternoon, Perkins was held in the case on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
