“This event would not have been possible without the amazing support of our staff at Eleanor Roosevelt and the PTO. We even had members of Pennwood Middle School’s STEM program helping out, in addition to the high school. It was really more of a district event,” said Boileau.
Pennsbury introduced SPARK as a fifth elementary school Special in the 2019-20 school year. SPARK stands for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through Perseverance, Application, Resilience, and Kinetic Knowledge. The program is designed to teach 21st Century Skills (collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking) at the elementary level to foster strong development of these skills throughout the educational journey.
