A truck carrying pipes overturned on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Friday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 2:45 p.m. on the eastbound exit ramp from the Turnpike to Route 1 in Bensalem Township.

The overturned truck blocked the right lane of the ramp, but one lane of traffic was able to get by.

The crash caused a significant backup for those seeking to get from the Turnpike into Lower Bucks County.

As of 4:30 p.m., large tow trucks were working to remove the overturned truck.

Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene.

It was not immediately clear if other vehicles were involved or if there were injuries.
