Trolley Car Runs Amuck, Leaves Rails In Tullytown

Yesterday morning shortly before noon, a trolley of the Trenton, Bristol, and Philadelphia Street Railway Company, while running through Tullytown, left the rails at a point opposite the residence of A. Brick Shoemaker, on Main Street.
The car being operated at a fair rate of speed by the crews – Williams and Gilbert – ran across the road in the direction of the Shoemaker residence.
A telegraph pole directly in the path of the crushing car was split in two, two small trees in front of the Shoemaker house were knocked down and several windows in the cars smashed.

None of the passengers sustained personal injuries to any extent.
The car was put on the rails again after considerable time and labor, and resumed on its way.
