Middletown Township police rushed to a Levittown apartment complex for a report of shots fired Tuesday afternoon, but no evidence of a shooting was discovered.

Officers were called to the B building of the Racquet Club Apartments on Veterans Highway (Route 413) for the shots fired call around 2:45 p.m. A description of a possible suspect was put out to officers, who began looking in the area, Middletown Township police Chief Joseph Bartorilla told LevittownNow.com.
As of 3:20 p.m., there was “no evidence” of a shooting at the complex, the chief said.

Multiple residents confirmed they heard some sort of dispute, but no gunshots.
Bartorilla said officers had no specific suspect they were seeking at that time, but the investigation was ongoing.

There appeared to be no threat to the community.
The Neshaminy School District delayed the release of students heading to the area as police investigated the incident.
Police officers began leaving the scene around 3:30 p.m.
